From 300 to 90,000 views in 3 months: the Sendible Threads report.

How consistency and community turned Threads into our fastest-growing channel, and what happened when we kept going for a full year.

At a glance.

01-key-highlights

Sendible's Threads account grew from 300 views in Q1 2025 to 90,000 in Q2 2025 and 172,000 in Q3 2025, all organic.

One year on, quarterly views reached 197,000 (+119% year on year), with 4,956 followers and 74,940 engagements over 14 months.

The strategy behind it: daily, platform-native posts and community management first.

Executive note · The why

Why did Sendible invest in Threads?

In 2025, the rules of digital visibility changed almost overnight. AI overviews began answering questions directly in search, so the traffic we once earned through search started to vanish. People got the information without ever visiting our site, and without ever experiencing who Sendible is.

That's why Threads mattered. Every view was a window into our voice, our values and our personality. By leaning into authenticity, consistency and community, we turned 300 quarterly views into 90,000 in Q2, then nearly doubled that to 172,000 in Q3.

In a world where clicks are disappearing, that kind of brand presence is priceless.

"In an AI-driven world, the most powerful thing a brand can be is human. Threads gave us the freedom to show our true voice, and it worked wonders."

Tamara, Head of Content Marketing at Sendible

Executive note · The what

What results did Sendible get on Threads in 2025?

In early 2025, Sendible's Threads presence was negligible: 300 views across an entire quarter. After we revamped our strategy, we reached 90,000 views in Q2. In Q3, that momentum nearly doubled to 172,000 views.

But the real story is why we track Threads views at all. From mid-March, AI overviews reshaped search behaviour. Impressions grew, but people no longer needed to click through, so they never discovered who we are as a brand. On Threads, every view is exposure to our voice, our personality and our values. Instead of a faceless answer box, people met Sendible as human, funny and authentic.

The challenge · Starting small

Where did Sendible start on Threads?

• Q1 2025: 300 views in total (about 100 a month) and minimal engagement.
• Threads wasn't a strategic priority, and repurposed posts underperformed.

The turning point

What changed in Sendible's Threads strategy?

By mid-March 2025, Sendible was in the middle of a brand refresh, redefining how we looked and how we showed up. We wanted to practise what we preach: social media should be human, relatable and community-driven. Our customers praise our supportive, approachable team, and we wanted our social presence to reflect that.

The refresh gave us a north star.Sendible's brand values, R.E.A.L.: Reliable, Empowering, Authentic and Leading.

These values became the foundation of our new Threads strategy.

Mid-March 2025: our social media
manager redefined our approach.

Instead of repurposing, we leaned into:

  • A more human, authentic voice

  • Daily, platform-native content

  • Consistent, time-zone aware posting

  • Community-first engagement.

"Threads changed the way I felt about social media. It was the first time I'd ever felt like I could be myself. I wasn't worried about making mistakes or how many likes we got, I just wanted to be part of the conversation. It changed everything: our social presence, our growth, but most importantly, it gave me a whole new love for social media management."

Sendible's r.e.a.l. approach explained

What is the R.E.A.L. Threads strategy?

Our Threads strategy is simple, and it's built on the values that define our brand. We call it the R.E.A.L. Threads strategy.

The R.E.A.L. Threads strategy: Relatable voice (conversational, imperfect over polished), Every day (daily posting at peak activity times), Anchored in content pillars (evergreen, relatable and reactive posts) and Led by community (replies, conversations and brand banter).

R: Relatable voice.

On Threads, imperfect beats polished. Our posts are sometimes messy, emotional and delightfully unhinged, often full of Taylor Swift or BTS references. They're not just brand content; they're Connie. And Connie is what Sendible represents: human, relatable and real.

Sendible Threads post reading "how do i tell my boss engagement is up this week because hash browns are trending", with 44 likes, 8 replies and 2 reposts.

E: Every day.

We post every day during peak activity hours, using Sendible's Optimal Times feature. Evergreen, relatable content is scheduled weeks in advance, which frees us up for community management and real-time trends. The rule is simple: at least one scheduled post a day, but the best moments often come from what we create in the moment.

Sendible content calendar showing at least one Threads post scheduled every day across three weeks.

A: Anchored in content pillars.

Threads isn't our only channel, so the strategy had to scale. Our pillars keep us consistent and varied: evergreen memes, social media manager struggles, questions and relatable posts, all schedulable in advance. The most important pillar is reactive content, which keeps us relevant and part of the conversation.

L: Led by community.

Scheduling ahead gives us space for what matters most: community management. We reply, banter and join conversations with brands and people every day. This proactive engagement isn't an add-on; it's what turned Threads into one of our fastest-growing channels.

Threads Insights screen showing Sendible's top posts in 2025, led by a Taylor Swift post with 12,400 views, and 3,132 total followers.

Snickers posts "Imagine not posting for months" on Threads, and Sendible replies "imagine not scheduling content for threads".

Together, these four pillars form the R.E.A.L. Threads strategy, which "coincidentally" matches our brand personality. It shows that being human-first online doesn't just build community; it drives growth.

Community wasn’t an add-on — it was the engine of our growth.

How did community management drive Sendible's Threads growth?

1. Replying to every comment on our own threads built trust and loyalty.

Sendible asks "just scheduled a post. do i deserve a treat?" on Threads, and Microsoft 365 replies "Yes!" and "We got you".

2. Proactive brand engagement. Our reply under a Fanta post earned 690 likes and a reply from Fanta.

We've interacted with Lidl, Domino's UK, Smartwater, Acer America, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365, with ongoing engagement from Monzo, Lidl and Acer America.

Collage of Threads conversations between Sendible and brands including Monzo, Lidl, Domino's UK, Acer America, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365, Fanta and Yelp.

Why it matters:

  • It boosts visibility on brand timelines.
  • It acts as social proof: when big brands interact with you, perception rises.
  • Brand mentions in public conversations on Threads now reach search and AI answers too. Google indexes public Threads posts, and Ahrefs tracks 279,000+ AI citations of threads.com pages, mostly in Google AI Overviews and AI Mode.

Bar chart showing 279,119 AI citations of threads.com pages across 165,134 pages: Google AI Overviews 70,433, Google AI Mode 37,382, Perplexity 8,923, ChatGPT 617 and Copilot 47. Google also began surfacing far more Threads posts in Discover from late May 2026.

the results.

How much did Sendible's Threads views grow in 2025?

Threads asks "If you could swap lives with someone on Threads, who would it be?", and Splitrun Digital replies "favorite smm @sendible. she is just the best."

Sendible's Threads views grew from 300 in Q1 2025 to 90,000 in Q2 (+29,900%) and 172,000 in Q3 (+91%), with no paid promotion. The growth came from daily, platform-native posts and active community management, not from ads or repurposed content.

Sendible's Threads results in 2025: views grew from 300 in Q1 to 90,000 in Q2 (+29,900%, with 49,500 coming in month 3) and 172,000 in Q3 (+91%). Standout moments were a post with 25,000+ views, a reply with 417 likes and a reply under a Fanta post with 690 likes, all organic.

threads vs other platforms

How did Threads compare with Sendible's other networks?

Sendible's Threads growth compared with other networks over 90 days in 2025: Threads grew 1.5x faster than LinkedIn and 1.4x faster than X. Instagram grew faster (+139%) but was influenced by ads, while Threads' +91% was fully organic. Facebook declined by 87% and TikTok by 68%.

Over the same 90 days, Threads delivered sustained organic growth. It grew 1.5x faster than LinkedIn and 1.4x faster than X, while Facebook and TikTok declined. Instagram grew faster, but that growth was ad-supported; Threads' growth was fully organic.

Bar chart comparing 90-day growth in views across Sendible's networks in 2025: Instagram +139% (ad-supported), Threads +91% (fully organic), X +64%, LinkedIn +60%, TikTok −68% and Facebook −86%.

The acceleration effect.

How long does it take to see results on Threads?

Threads growth doesn't just add up. It compounds. In Q2, more than half (55%) of our views came in the final month: consistent posting creates momentum, and momentum drives growth.

Line chart of cumulative Threads views in Q2 2025, rising from 0 to 40,500 by the end of month 2 and to 90,000 by the end of month 3. 55% of the quarter's views came in the final month.

Takeaway: expect slower traction in the first one to two months, then acceleration in month three if you stay consistent.

lessons learned

What did we learn from its first months on Threads?

Lessons from Sendible's first months on Threads. Do: stay consistent, post imperfect, humorous and reactive content, prioritise replies over broadcasting, invest in proactive community management, and schedule evergreen content to stay flexible for trends. Don't: rely on links and branded imagery, repurpose content from X or Bluesky, post sporadically, take a passive approach to community management, or treat Threads like a broadcast channel.

Advice for brands · Early adopters win

Should brands start posting on Threads?

Despite Threads' rapid growth, most brands haven't tapped into it yet. In our own customer data (2025), Threads was one of the least-used networks on Sendible: 1% of connected profiles and 0.7% of posts published in the last 30 days. For brands that do publish there, the opportunity to stand out is much higher than on saturated networks.

If you're starting on Threads:

  1. Create platform-native content.
  2. Prioritise authenticity over polish.
  3. Post daily, not weekly.
  4. Treat Threads as a conversation-first space.
  5. Invest in community management: both replying and proactive outreach.

FINDINGS IN SHORTY

Carousels are King! 👑

Over half of all scheduled content were Instagram Image carousels. This is not so surprising as carousels offer a versatile and engaging format that can effectively capture users' attention and drive higher engagement rates.

Plus, they’re nice to look at.

Schedule a carouselicon-1

We all know that short-form video content dominates social media platforms nowadays. However, you might be wondering why this trend isn't reflected in scheduled posts.

Well, the answer is quite simple - Instagram's API limitations restrict third-party tools from scheduling reels with trending sounds. However, a secret feature not included in these results are Instagram Reminders. Sendible users can set reminders to post their reels with trending audio using our tool, keeping them organised.

NEXT CHAPTER

What did Sendible plan next for its Threads strategy?

Threads Insights for the last 90 days (22 May to 19 August 2025), showing 172,000 total views and 4,414 total interactions.

  • Continuing at ~170k+ views per quarter

  • Testing new content formats and features early

  • Expanding brand interactions into deeper partnerships

  • Using community-led strategy as a blueprint across other channels

Our Threads journey showed that
authenticity + consistency +
community = growth

"Threads has proven to be one of our fastest-growing channels and the place where our brand feels most alive. What started as an experiment quickly became a powerful driver of authentic brand awareness, and moving forward it will sit at the heart of both our social and content strategy."

Tamara, Head of Content Marketing at Sendible

So, did it last? Here's what a full year looked like.

One year later (2026 update)

By Connie Searson

We kept going. In Q2 2026, Sendible's Threads account reached 197,000 views, up 119% on the 90,000 we reported for Q2 2025, still with no paid promotion. Across 14 months, the account generated 74,940 engagements: likes, replies, shares and reposts.

Sendible's Threads stats for 23 April to 21 July 2026: 197,000 views (+119% year on year), 23,400 interactions and 4,956 followers. The top post reached 22,100 views and the most engaging post 3,500 interactions. The largest audience is women aged 25–34, mainly in London, Toronto, New York, Los Angeles and Melbourne. All 100% organic.

but what about the engagement

How did engagement change over the year?

Engagement held steady at 1,000–2,000 a month through mid-2025, dipped in October and November, then spiked to 31,363 in December when two posts went viral. What matters more is what came after: monthly engagement never fell back to 2025 levels.

Bar chart of Sendible's monthly Threads engagements from May 2025 to June 2026. Engagement averaged 1,271 a month from May to November 2025, spiked to 31,363 in December 2025 thanks to viral posts, then averaged 5,781 a month from January to June 2026, about 4.5 times higher.

  • The dip (October–November 2025): our social media manager was travelling across time zones, so daily community management paused. Engagement fell to around 650 a month and took time to rebuild. Proof that the community side is the engine, not a nice-to-have.
  • The spike (December 2025): viral posts drove 31,363 engagements in a single month. [Name and link the viral posts; see asset brief]
  • The new baseline (2026): monthly engagement in the first half of 2026 averaged about 4.5 times the 2025 level. That's the community we've built showing up, consistently.

let's get r.e.a.l.

How has the R.E.A.L. strategy evolved in 12 months?

Pillar

2025

2026

R: Relatable voice

Imperfect over polished; pop-culture references

Even more personal: the person behind the account is the content

E: Every day

At least one scheduled post a day

Still daily, often more than once, with a heavy focus on reactive posts

A: Anchored in content pillars

Memes, polls, evergreen and reactive posts

Polls and memes dropped; relatable and evergreen posts that ask questions or invite replies

L: Led by community

Banter with Fanta, Lidl, Microsoft 365 and Monzo

Brand interactions with MLB, Domino's, Channel 5 and Splitrun; repeat connections with K-pop communities, Channel 5 and Splitrun

"If there's one thing I've learned over the last year, it's that people trust people, not brands. Leaning into community management and reactive posting isn't about chasing virality, it's about building relationships. For me, that meant being unapologetically myself, right down to my love for K-pop. By bringing my own personality to the Sendible account, I didn't just build an audience. I built a loyal, dedicated community that actually knows me and showed up for us every single day, and brands don't create that kind of loyalty, social media managers do."

Connie Searson, Social media expert

what about now

Is Threads still outperforming Sendible's other channels?

Threads is now our biggest source of organic social reach. In Q2, it drove 197,000 views, all organic. LinkedIn and Facebook drove comparable or higher total views, but almost all of that came from paid promotion.

Bar chart of views by network from 23 April to 21 July 2026, split into organic and paid. Facebook had 594,039 views (0.95% organic), Threads 197,000 (100% organic), LinkedIn 192,985 (2.81% organic), Instagram 54,183 (44.18% organic) and TikTok 13,200 (100% organic).

Measured on organic views alone, Threads delivered about 8 times as many as Instagram, 15 times as many as TikTok and around 35 times as many as LinkedIn or Facebook.

Bar chart of organic views by network over the last 90 days in 2026: Threads 197,000, Instagram about 23,900, TikTok 13,200, Facebook about 5,600 and LinkedIn about 5,400.

this is where we give you advice, again

What would we tell brands starting on Threads in 2026?

To grow on Threads in 2026, brands should talk to their community every day, build relationships with the accounts that show up regularly, show the person behind the account and write like a person rather than a company or an AI. Testing new Threads features early also pays off: in our experience, it consistently earns engagement.

What to avoid: links and images in posts, which in our experience cut reach, plus salesy or purely promotional content, replies to conversations that aren't relevant to your brand, and engaging with problematic accounts before checking who they are.

Threads do's and don'ts for 2026. Do: talk to your community every day, get to know your regulars, show the person behind the account, talk like a person rather than a company or AI, and try new Threads features early. Don't: add links or images, use salesy or purely promotional posts, jump into irrelevant conversations, or engage with problematic accounts without checking who they are.

Frequently asked questions about growing on Threads

How did Sendible grow on Threads? Sendible grew from 300 quarterly views to 90,000 in three months by switching from repurposed posts to daily, platform-native content and proactive community management. We call the approach the R.E.A.L. Threads strategy: relatable voice, every day, anchored in content pillars and led by community.

How long does it take to see results on Threads? In our experience, expect slow traction for the first one to two months. In Q2 2025, 55% of our quarter's views came in the third month, once consistent posting had built momentum.

How often should a brand post on Threads? At least once a day. We schedule one evergreen post a day in advance and add reactive posts on top, often posting more than once a day.

Do links and images hurt reach on Threads? In our testing, yes. Posts with links or images consistently reached fewer people than text-only, conversational posts, so we keep posts native and text-led.

Is Threads worth it for brands in 2026? For Sendible, yes: Threads delivered 197,000 organic views in Q2 2026, up 119% year on year, making it our largest source of organic reach. Results depend on consistent posting and daily community management.

Can you schedule Threads posts with Sendible? Yes. Sendible lets you schedule and publish Threads posts alongside your other social profiles and use Optimal Times to post when your audience is most active.
