Our approach to product feedback

Here at Sendible, we take product feedback extremely seriously.

We believe that listening to our customers, prospects, and team members - by taking their ideas on board and bringing their voices into the capabilities we choose to invest in - is a surefire way to build a better product.

We use your feedback to identify the most important ideas, pain points, and opportunities so that you can get more value from our product as efficiently as possible.

 

How to give us your product feedback

Submitting your feedback couldn't be simpler.

With Sendible’s Ideas Portal, you have the ability to impact the company’s development work and have a direct say in the features we create. You can easily find it at https://ideas.sendible.com/.

You can see all of the ideas we are considering today, as well as see those that are planned for development. You can also get the first look at any features or functionality we have recently launched.

By selecting any idea, you can get more details about it and even see the Product department team member leading its development efforts.

From there, you can indicate how important it is to you and provide a personalised message to help explain your choice.

The last step is to confirm your email address. Once you’ve verified your email address, you’ll be signed in and won’t need to confirm your email address until the next time you’ve logged in.

You can even send us your own ideas if they aren’t currently on the product board!

What does an actionable product feedback submission look like?

To make your request more impactful, here are four tips for good feedback:

  1. Make your title concise and descriptive. This will help others find and upvote your feedback. Also, please write in English.

  2. Clearly outline what your ultimate goal isWhat problem are you trying to solve with your suggestion? Our Product Team members are experts at troubleshooting and problem-solving. We may be able to help you find a feature or a solution that already exists!

  3. Provide additional context. Feel free to add a comment with any additional information or context around why this change would be helpful for you (for example, how this suggestion will improve your daily workflow). You can even attach some screenshots or videos to help us see what you’re experiencing!

  4. Highlight any workarounds. How are you currently getting around or solving this problem?

We don’t expect you to know all the answers, but feel free to get creative with what you think would work!

On the practical side, we also recommend including one suggestion per post and refraining from posting personal information.

 

What happens to your product feedback

All new requests will be reviewed and linked to an idea so that more people can vote, prioritise and give us information. This allows us to gauge demand, gather use cases, and automatically establish impact and value.

Fortnightly, our Product Team holds a product feedback meeting. They discuss the highest priorities for our customers, team members, and prospects and look at how the requests align with our own product and company strategy.

As the team goes through, they will update each idea so that you immediately know the outcome.

If we decide to build a feature or make an improvement, the status will change to "Planned" and it will be added to the planned tab which you can view at any time - here.

Our product feedback portal always has the most up-to-date information about our product and what we are building next. We will always provide an explanation as to the nature of the status update.

If you reach out directly to our Support or Customer Success teams, they'll be able to look up ideas for you, but they won't have any additional information or provide an estimate for when your request will be reviewed.

 

FAQs

How long will it be before the product team reviews my idea?

Items will be reviewed by the product specialist on a fortnightly basis; we take the top requests and update the status where appropriate. Roadmapping meetings occur quarterly.

Make sure your ideas are clear and concise so others can vote on it and prioritise. Also, be sure to prioritise your own requests too - that way, we will know if a particular request is important to you.

My request hasn't been reviewed yet and I submitted it 6+ months ago. What can I do?

If we haven't reviewed your item yet and it is a high priority for you:

  • Make sure it's at the top of your priority list.
  • Make sure your request is clear. Why do you need this? What is it stopping you from doing? What is the impact of that? Please add these details in a comment on your idea.

I added my request to the old feature portal, why can’t I see any votes or my request on the new portal?

Prior to migrating our feedback portal onto the new system, all feature ideas and votes were added to the back-end of our new portal. While you can't see the historical evolution of these ideas, every piece of feedback has been accounted for and will be taken into consideration by our product and development teams.
